Romance in Luxury at The Langham London
When planning this styled shoot, the concept was romance in red, a vision perfectly timed with Valentine’s Day approaching.
The intention was to capture the grandeur of an iconic five-star London hotel, using its timeless elegance as the backdrop for an intimate yet luxurious wedding celebration. The shoot unfolded in two distinct chapters, each designed to reflect a different moment of the wedding day.
The Build-Up: Bridal Glamour
The first part of the shoot focused on the anticipation and preparation that precedes a luxury wedding.
For the bride, I created classic Hollywood waves using hair extensions, paired with my signature bridal glam. The makeup centered around a warm bronzed eye, designed to enhance the eyes while remaining timeless and elegant. Individual lashes were applied for a softer yet glamorous finish, complemented by medium-to-full coverage that would photograph beautifully and last throughout the day.
From getting ready in the hotel’s iconic suite overlooking London landmarks, to moments of quiet luxury before the celebration began, every detail reflected refinement and tradition.
These moments then transitioned to dramatic scenes on the sweeping staircase leading to the ballroom - lined with hundreds of red roses - creating a striking and unforgettable statement for the modern luxury bride.
The Reception: Intimate Evening Elegance
For the second part of the shoot, the setting moved to the Surrey Room, chosen for its intimate atmosphere for an evening wedding reception.
A long tablescape was styled with cascading red roses and candlelight to create warmth and intimacy, and a show-stopping five-tier cake as the centrepiece. To complement the bride’s dress change, the evening makeup was elevated with a matte red lip and enhanced blush, adding depth, drama, and radiance to the complexion.
This subtle transformation reflected how bridal makeup can evolve seamlessly from day to evening - maintaining elegance while embracing a more striking, evening-appropriate finish.
