Creating Destination Romance Moments in Ghana
Creating a styled shoot in Ghana’s Aburi Botanical Gardens was about capturing the essence of a destination wedding - where romance, culture, and natural beauty come together effortlessly.
Set in the heart of the Eastern Region, the gardens offered a serene, cinematic backdrop. Palm-lined avenues, vibrant florals, and lush greenery created an atmosphere that felt intimate yet grand - the perfect setting to reimagine destination bridal beauty through an African lens.
The First Bride: Signature Glamour
For the first bride, I created my signature bridal glam: a soft champagne shimmer across the eyes, a classic winged liner, and a flawless full-coverage base. On the cheeks, a delicate pink-coral shimmer was chosen to beautifully compliment the model’s complexion, adding warmth and luminosity without overpowering the look.
Pearl drop earrings by IJ Avenue added an elegant finishing touch, while loose, flowing waves kept the focus on the make up.
The Second Bride: Modern Bronze Elegance
For the second bride, the look shifted to a bronzed, modern glamour. A smokey liner paired with warm bronze tones enhanced the eyes, balanced with a full-coverage base and a glossy lip for a contemporary bridal finish.
The look was completed with peal drop earrings by IJ Avenue, allowing the makeup to remain the focal point, while a slick high ponytail delivered a polished, pulled-back elegance - perfect for a destination bride seeking sophistication with impact.
