The Makeup Trends I’m Loving for 2026

When it comes to beauty, I’ve always believed in investing in products that feel timeless - versatile pieces in my makeup bag that work beautifully across seasons rather than fleeting trends that quickly disappear.

But every year there are always a few standout looks that genuinely inspire me.

For 2026, the beauty world is leaning into fresh skin, soft colour and effortless radiance - trends that enhance your natural beauty rather than hide it.

In this piece, I’m sharing a few of my favourite trends for the year ahead, along with some of the products I personally love using to recreate them.

Minimal Skin (Skin First, Makeup Second)

One trend that continues to dominate the beauty world is minimal, radiant skin.

Skincare has taken centre stage in recent years, and for good reason. Makeup only looks as beautiful as the skin it sits on.

While my signature makeup style often includes a fuller, perfected base - especially for bridal clients - there are many days where I love to give my skin a breather and focus on glowing, healthy skin instead.

A few products I’ve been loving recently include:

Fresh Rose Toner

This delicate toning lotion, infused with real rose petals, gives the skin an instant boost of hydration while gently preparing it for the rest of your routine.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum

For that soft, glass-like glow, this serum is beautiful. I warm a few drops between my palms before pressing it into the skin to create a smooth, radiant base.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream

A true industry favourite. This moisturiser instantly hydrates and brightens the complexion, creating the perfect canvas for makeup.

Statement Lips

A bold lip will always be timeless.

In fact, a strong lip colour is one of the quickest ways to elevate an entire makeup look. Whether paired with minimal skin or a classic evening look, it instantly adds confidence and polish.

A classic red remains one of the most powerful beauty statements you can make.

Two shades I return to time and time again are:

MAC Ruby Woo

A cult classic matte red that lasts beautifully throughout the day.

MAC Dance With Me

A deeper red that feels incredibly elegant, particularly for evening looks.

If red feels a little bold for you, deeper berry tones, rich browns and deep pinks are also having a moment in 2026 and transition beautifully from day to evening.

The Return of Blush

Blush is having a major moment again, and I’m personally delighted.

A healthy flush instantly brightens the face and brings life back into the complexion.

As we move into spring, there’s nothing prettier than a soft pinch of colour across the cheeks.

Two products I reach for regularly are:

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

Highly pigmented yet beautifully blendable, this formula leaves the skin with a natural-looking flush that feels fresh and radiant.

Chanel les beiges blush stick

An effortless swipe-and-blend product that creates a soft wash of colour while adding subtle radiance to the cheekbones.

Glossy Lips Make A Comeback

After years dominated by matte formulas, glossy lips are firmly returning.

Think hydrated, luminous lips that reflect the light beautifully rather than a flat matte finish.

A gloss layered over lipstick can instantly soften and modernise a classic lip look - perfect for evenings, events or bridal makeup.

The beauty of these trends is that they don’t require a complete overhaul of your makeup bag.

Instead, they focus on enhancing what’s already there - glowing skin, healthy colour and confident statement features.

For me, the best trends are always the ones that feel wearable, timeless and adaptable to your own personal style.

Which of these trends will you be trying this year?
